Hello Techies..
I would like to understand as to how the unified comm functioning. Let me explain what i understood
Call - > PBX -> VOIPgateway -> UM server -> Dial plan -> Auto attendant -> User Mailbox
When a call is reaching an extension ( UM enabled ) and if the call is unanswered / busy ( depends on the phone settings ) it will get routed to UM server for recording the voice message. once the voice is left, the same is converted to audio file and sent to the mailbox which is associated with the particular extension.
When the user is back on seat, he could see the light glowing on the extension.
My questions are as follows
1. Will the voice mail be stored physically on the Phone hardware ?
2 .How the user listen to the voice mail with out playing from his outlook? ( is it only via subscriber access number )
( We used to get lot of tickets on UM and I will be happy to share the knowledge if i am clear in the real funda behind the Voice mail access ) |
